Good morning Cuties, I made these for my granddaughter this morning. I embroidered the Victor font from Apex. The pattern was Simplicity 1476A, I picked up for 99 cents last week at Hancock Fabrics. I cut it off the size 8 but had to add 1 inch to length of pant, and take away 1 inch, on each side seam. She is so tall and slim! This is second pair, the first ones I didn't emb on. Remember when I posted about having a church member die and the family gave me all the fabrics? This is a piece from them. -Toogie-EDITED 2/17/15- I added the pattern so you could see, it is a recent pattern 2014, although an old look. My daughter saw a denim pair with a monogram in fuchsia $44.00 on sale for $18.99 infant, toddler and girl sizes. I am suppose to make a denim with red mono...as soon as I find my 5 yds of denim-lol

My daughter sure liked them and wanted to see if I could make them for less. Like I said, I paid 99 cents for pattern. Fabric was free, had other supplies, elastic, stabilizer, threads, so I guess you could say I made for less...at LOT less.

Ah, that elusive piece of denim...throw in a peace sign and I'll be back in the 1960's again....remembering flower power!

Thanks Laura, it is the same font I used on her rain poncho. I love it. Both times I had to resize to fit and it has still stitched perfectly.

The good thing about this style too, it fits over the braces good and you don't have to take her braces off, to change her pants. Thank you for looking. I like your sailboat bibs. I make all of hers the old fashion way too but on the serger/overlock.

Well, maybe not.-lol- I seemed to remember using 'some' of it, but I forgot, for what. I told my daughter, I could have had them emb and made, with all the time I spent looking for the denim! And just think, it organized now!-lol

I found it last night. Not all my fabric fit in those 42 drawers I have in the sewing room. I have some large bins in the guest closet...it was in the BOTTOM one.

Cute!. I love the Victor monogram font. I have used it many times especially with all the pockets I made. It is so girly! You know all her friends will want one too. Maybe you will get some orders. Kay

Unfortunately this pair is but I just made her a denim, not a heavy denim and the ruffle looks better,to me anyway.

What a cute pair of pants! Love the ruffle on the bottom and the monogram really makes it special! Can you believe the price of patterns today! Looking forward to the day when I have some grandbabies to sew for!

I know patterns are expensive, if you pay regular price. I usually don't but too many, but as this one was 99 cents, it saved a lot of figuring. Thanks for lQQking.-Toogie
