I have the Janome 350e and customiser 1000 both which I bought used about 14 months ago. Someone has for sale the digitizer pro ver 1.0 in my area they no longer need. It has the dongle and disc. Will I be able to use it with my embroidery machine? Also my computer has windows 7 pro.

Unfortunately due to life and unexpected events since i bought it I have only just been able to use my machine for more than names on towels. So my apologies if I don't really know much. I have tried to use customiser and I can't seem to get it to do much. Probably user error. Will the digitizer pro help?

UPDATE: Just in case this helps anyone else. I ended up purchasing a used digitizer mb/pro disc with dongle and it works fine on windows 7. There was an extra update from janome on their site so I have done that and it is just what I am after for now and was very affordable bargain too good to pass up. I can even update it to the newest version and it will still work out cheaper than buying a new program. Now I just need to learn it.

Hi Karryn...not sure if this software will work for Windows 7...go to the Janome Global website and you can check the requirements as this version is quite old...sometimes with older software they will post upgrades for newer computers to make older software compatible...I would also check into Embird and compare the prices...Embird is a great alternative...and you can purchase it in stages as you need the different modules...

Thank you for the replies. I really had no idea how old it was, actually thought it was a recent version from the way the ad was written. So I have decided to wait and try and get something newer more suitable as finances permit.

The question is, will that version of the software work with Windows 7? I have no idea. I have a Janome machine, but no Janome software. It isn't necessary to have any software to use your machine, although it is useful to have a program on your computer to let you see the embroidery files before you take them to your machine.

My advice would be to explore the capabilities of your machine, ask lots of questions and have fun with what you have before you decide to invest in upgrades.
