Crinkle toys. I have seen some stuffed toys in the stores that sound "Crinkly" when you rub them. Does anyone know what is inside them that would do that. All I can guess at is maybe mylar. ???

Thanks.

I found a place that sells the actual fabric and I'm going to try rescuer's cereal bag idea!
Thanks everyone!

I read that the bag inside cereal boxes can be used. n I've saved several for "someday"...

I was going to use a scrunched up, washed crisp packet to add some noise to my next fiddle purse. Probably very much like the cereal bags.

What is a crisp packet?

bowlds by bowlds 05 Jan 2015

Like a snack bag??

Like potato chips in a bag like "Sun Chips" come in. I think there are more varieties of crisps than chips though.

When my sister was a baby someone made her a black, skinny, stuffed cat using a slinky knit as from a negligee (maybe it was) for the body and stuffing it with a loud crinkly cellophane. The cellophane was all enclosed within the body so there was no danger of swallowing. There was absolutely no part of that cat that didn't get sucked or chewed - especially the long tail or the pointy ears. Eyes and nose were embroidered on by hand in those days! JB

Many use things like disposable baby-wipe flexible containers, washed cereal bags, Mylar and there is also actual crinkle "fabric" one can buy.

Thanks, washed cereal bags...who would have thought!

I like the baby-wipe containers. The no-name or store brand containers have the best "crinkle" sound to them. I use the wipes in my car for all those times when you wish you could wash your hands (or someone else's hands before they get in your car) ;)

rescuer the vision of you inspecting hands of those travelling with you before they get in your car is bringing a smile to my face

LOL! I'm a clean hand freak too! I know what she means!!
I will be on the lookout for that, my daughter has one in diapers so I should be able to get a stash of that. Thanks.

I do struggle with the very cold temps here now though. My baby wipes are frozen. It seems I will have to bring them in at night. LOL
I am glad I could make some of you smile.
