Was looking for your wedding pillow and came across these. Great job on the stockings. Love the font. What font did you use for the lowercase? I am thinking of making some new stocking for 2015 as the old ones are looking a little worst for wear. Happy Stitching!!!
You will have some very thrilled children with these wonderful socks. Great job. Welcome. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Great job fake fur is not easy to work with. You have made these so special.
They are really cute! I love the fluff and can't see any pokies popping out of the letters. Well done!
well done! They look yummy with the gingerbread font! ~hugs Loralye~
Well done! It looks like there will be many happy people with new stockings this year. Excellent use of the Cute designs!
The best part of working with fake fur (like the tops of these stockings) is you can trim the fur near the embroidery stitching to make the letters easier to read.
Yes you can trim ...but, I like the fluff. Still have some topping removal but the most of it is gone.
Super stockings! The designs are well, Cute, lol. Probably a stupid question but was is lc? The designs really turned out great on the fluffy fabric.
They came through like jewels. You have done a great job and everyone will love them/Lillian
How did you hoop these nice stockings, what kind of stablized did you use? I have ones with knit tops and don't know how to emb. names on them
these came from Wal-mart....I used tear -away under and solvy on top. I opened the side seam down to the red fur.
You have to stay with it to hold the top layer of white fur back. I also printed out thread templates with my embird. and got most of my thread out so I wouldn't have to leave my machine. Fresh needle and ready to go.. Good Luck.
with Knit i think i would use a sticky tear-away so your fabric won't distort. But always use a topping when you think the stitching will disappear.
Thank you both for the helpful information. There is a lining under the top part where I would be adding the name, so don't know how to hold the top knit in place while sewing.
I think i would open any seam and lay the knit directly on the sticky back tear-away.....when your finished sew it shut again.
It's a beautiful picture and my, you have been busy. Well done
They are gorgeous. The kids will love them and YES, you've done it right. Welcome to Cute. Love Chris, Newcastle, Australia and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for 2015.
