On a shirt for myself, I cut a scrap of tearaway the size of the design, put on the shirt and pin the tearaway where it looks best and is still above the b---bs. For shirts for others, I might try some of these other methods.
I always try to center it between the center of the garment and the start of the sleeve seam . Place the lower edge of the design it just above the bottom of where the sleeve seam attaches to the main body of the shirt. Try this, it works for me ever time. Hugs Lynn
Sorry, forgot to comment on your design. It is really great, your son and daughter-in-law will love it. Hugs again
You and Miss Vicki are a wonderful team, your son and his wife will be thrilled over these. I like them. hugs
sewntrouble does it the same way I do it mark it with a disappearing ink & then it will be easier to stitch out. You both did great!~hugs~
Carolyn.........I sent you an email that may help with this.........your stitching looks great!!
Vicki to the rescue! A great logo you have there :)
I'm still not good at placement, I do the guessing game each time :)
I don't have software allowing me to print a template of designs so I use the measurements of the design and cut a piece of paper using those. Then, I fold the paper in order to create a cross to mark the center. Not as perfect as a printed template, I am sure, but sometimes you just have to work with what you have ;) It was super nice of your friend to make the design for you! Your son and daughter in law will be pleased!
Nice job on these, Carolyn...by both you and Vicki!
Vicki and yourself have come up with a great gift.. fantastic!
A great team effort. I like where you have placed your design it is very visible and why be the same as the crowd?
Good work, both of you. For the placment I print the design and pin it on place after cutting around on the paper. So I can see if the design will be on the right place. This is very important by a Lady with some more bust measurement.
Never mind next one will better. Well done to both of you. Luvv Chris
They'll be so thrilled. Looks great. There is a placement guide at Embroidery Library: http://www.emblibrary.com/EL/ELPr...
You are very special Carolyn, and Vicki did a wonderful job on this logo! I also do placement with a printed template, and mark the center of the design. Hugs, Yoriko
As you say - Cuties are the best Well done to both of you
You are truly blessed. Vicki did a superb job on this logo.
Do you have a way to print a templet of the design? For me that is the only way to get good placement. Placement rules don't seem to fit the designs i use. Mark the center, top, bottom and each side of the design templet with a wash away maker. Hope this will help.
