This I hope is OK for the December Challenge. I was not aware there was until other day. I have used Miss V's Christmas Cookie numbers. I cut away numbers. They were perfect size for this tree I made from a tomato cage and deco mesh, tinsel, and lights.

Then I added the gifts I made fsl and the star on top I designed last year. I wanted something to display the real gifts of Christmas.

this is so much more attractive to me than the wreaths I have seen made with this mesh! What a great idea - and your stitchings look wonderful.

You are so smart Mary, using a tomato cage for shape is great idea. I bet you used a bunch of needles making all of these ginger-bread-babies ") Your wisdom of the needles gives me inspiration ") i LOVE LOVE LOVE this project...I HOPE HOPE HOPE.....PEACE PEACE PEACE follows you all the days of your life and most of all I have FAITH FAITH FAITH that the Great Almighty will answer this request ") p.s. come take this box of vanilla-wafers away from me ") p.s.s. puppy-dog is missing from this beautiful pic ")

One machine needle was used but come to think of it, there is hours on that one and it would not hurt to change. Bless you.

can you please share directions for this? I love this!

highlandermom by highlandermom 05 Dec 2014

Thanks.
I never follow instructions nor can I always give them the best. So I googled and found. Just type in tomato cage Christmas tree. They got people out there that gives instructions I just saw one in town said well that looks neat I gotta see if I can. So I did. If you don't got tomato cage laying around some places do carry them as some people just string lights on them and put them outside for lighting decorations.

I have a garden so I have the cages as well......thanks so much Mary I want to try this! you have inspired me

radmom by radmom 06 Dec 2014

Thanks for sharing the tip about the tree. I think I'll see what I can find, clean up one of my tomato cages, and make one for at my front door!
