It has been a very long time since I have posted anything...But still come here to read the post and to see the projects..I am in need of direction and would like any input..My husband passed away suddenly in July and was an organ donor. I received a letter from the foundation that they will be taking handmade ornaments from the donor's family should we like to honor them this way..so what I am asking of any of you is ..do you know any sights that have fsl ornaments that may be suited for the loss of a loved one?

I can't imagine what you are going through, but I know that he has given the greatest gift in death that can be given. You are very kind to consider making ornaments to honor him further. Thanks so very much for all your kind words...It is extremely difficult especially at this time of the year...He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts..I know this because my heart still feels the pain..But I will rejoice and treasure all the years we were blessed with and the wonderful memories we made..Thanks for all the links..I will go look now.

My condolences to you. I have asked my friend to consider making an FSL ornament of a family around a table or something. I did look for you and did not find a single family either during the holidays or not. I do believe there will more a better selection out there, however it my not fit your timeframe.

So very sorry for your loss...I just lost my cousin who was only 48 years old who had a massive coronary...he was also an organ donor...I love the angels at Sonia's...they are beautiful and stitch out perfectly...

To say I'm sorry is nver enough, I know this because I too have buried a husband. . It was 25 yrs ago and I have remarried now but still I miss him especially during holiday times. the sites the other Cuties have mentioned are the best ones I know for what you want, so won't repeat them, but just wanted to let you know that I'm also very sorry for your loss and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers this holiday season; it is always especially difficult when the loss of someone who played such a big part in your life is unexpected.

I'm so sorry for your loss. "Suddenly" is the worst way possible, because there is no time for preparation beforehand. I've experienced this first hand, so I know how it feels. Hang in there! And visit friends here as often as possible.
As for sites that have FSL ornaments, I have two favorites. I hope you find something that suits your needs!!

I am sorry for your lost, but I am so thankful for organ donors, I received a liver 10 years ago, I have been able to see all my g-kids(8) grow into great young women and young man(He is serving a mission for our church, LDS. The people he helped will always remember him. Help out in any way you can and desire

Although I am now remarried, I lost a husband suddenly and he was also an organ donor. I found great consolation in this gift he gave and I hope it will help you in your grieving, too.

I am so sorry for your loss. But how caring to donate organs so another can live. I love the angels from Sonia Showalter also. They are just beautiful. And her free ones stitch just as well as the purchased one...I know as I have both.

Oh Iv2sew, I am so sorry for your loss of your husband. We lost our son in May, and I am still grieving heavily. We were able to donate some tissues, but not organs because of where we live. I hadn't thought of doing ornaments. What a wonderful idea. I wish I could give you a big hug, Jan, BENSMOM

I also would recommend any of Sonia Showalters designs with the links mammajo provided. She has at least 3 designs one is made up of multiple pink ribbons and then the Angel of light 2nd edition that is a personal favorite. If your husband passed of a disease or condition that has a colored ribbon you could also change the Breast cancer pink to what ever color is represented by your husbands condition. Hugs, Hopefully you can find ways to do things in your husbands name that can bring bits of comfort through the holiday season. My heart hurts for the loss you are enduring.

I'm a huge fan of all of her angels, and everyone I have given them absolutely raves about them.

I am so sorry your husband passed away. My heart hurts for you as I know that the holidays can be so hard when loved ones are no longer with us.
