Finally done, A fully embroidered and pieced together Christmas Tree. 12 hours of embroidery not including the felt ornaments I made and did't put on. I think it looks better without them. It is for my son who's cat insists on eating any plants, so now his tree will be on the wall. The design is by Ananda's Divine Designs

Now I've ordered that pattern and of course some of the other things on my wish list were on sale .... it looks like the snowflakes visible on your tree are part of the design? This is so pretty! Thank you for sharing this.

The snowflakes are part of the design, I used and opalescent thread and it really sparkles.

PS. What is the total size of the whole tree?

lhart by lhart 14 Nov 2014

The size is 14 x 23 inches, it comes in a larger size (20 x 30 I think)

Thanks, since you do it in layers you can stop and go, but I found that working in applique you just can`t wait to see what the next piece will look like. I told him he can never give it away, he he

Amen, sister! Give back to mamma if he doesn't want it anymore.
