The dioly is excellent very beautiful love it and allso the thread color. very nice work Lidia .
Wow! Sue Box certainly does have some beautiful lace designs. Nice work.
i love designs, and colors : very beautiful work. A mitiés de France.
So beautiful! I love the color of the lace. What do you call it? Old gold? I am still waiting for my cd for this collection. So far I only have the Classic Lace which they sent me via email. I ordered the 3D swan collection from OPW too, waiting for that as well.
I was thinking about doing this (attaching the lace to fabric in the hoop) too because I hate the idea of attaching lace pieces together and then sew it to fabric.
Do yo overlap the lace pieces? How big is this doily?
Thank you, Lucia. The thread colour is Cream, #1055 from Madeira. I put all the pieces together in Embird, including the running stitches I created in 4DExtra and modified in Embird. The lace pieces are overlapped. The doily size is 357.0x188.4mm (14.06x7.42"). Hugs, Lidia
exquisit you have excelled yourself on this one.
Hugs pam.
I see you love Sue Box designs .This one again is lovely:);0hugs
Wow. Doily + roses, on the wood is beautiful. Your knack of presentation is so spot on. Someday, you'll have to write up a tutorial on how you make them so perfectly.
Jo
Thank you, Jo. I may consider to write up a tutorial (generic or specific) on how I make my doilies, if I receive requests by PM (Private Messages). You need a large hoop and software. Hugs, Lidia
As Always: a beautifully mad doily and a great design. Hugs, Martine
Thank you, Martine. I agree with you that those are great designs and it has been worthwhile spending some time putting together the pieces and creating the running stitches for attaching the fabric to the Vilene before stitching the lace out. Hugs, Lidia
no wonder you love them you sure know how to put together a fine piece of doily
