This is my latest project. A ram & bull depicting the legend of how a small UK Fenland town got it's name. I digitised the applique ram & bull from a photograph of ridge tiles on the roof of a property in the Town where I live. The legend says that the Town was once an island. The ram & bull lived on the island and fought for supremacy. The ram won the fight & Ramsey came from Ram and isle - eye & later the final e was dropped or from Ram & sea (island surrounded by sea)

Mmmmm that's an even more interesting story Minnieb, nice to hear about. I assume the bull was left there & not rescued?
