EXCITEMENT NOW DOUBLED! I've nearly finished Aqualina's dress. I babysat the children today and when Aqualina saw the dress she wanted to put it on immediately. I told her I had to finish off the sash and do the buttonholes, but she didn't care. So tomorrow I'll finish the dress. I've just pinned on the sash in the picture, but you can see it fits her beautifully in the 1st picture. Love Chris

pennifold by pennifold 23 Sep 2014

Hi Wendy, thanks for the lovely comments. It's not my own design, this particular dress is a combination of the Disco Dress from Ainslee Fox patterns (which is the bodice) http://www.ainsleefox.com.au/cate... - and the Peppermint swirl dress from Candy Castle patterns (which is the skirt). Love Chris

Thanks Caroline, yes this pattern is a wonderful fit. As these are for Christmas (and we have it hot here) I wanted them sleeveless. I did put a cap sleeve on Ophelie's, but I didn't want one on Aqualina's dress. She wanted me to finish it whilst they were here today. I told her I'd finish it tomorrow. I'm a NANNA! Thanks once again. Love Chris

pennifold by pennifold 23 Sep 2014

I've left the hems on both dresses just overlocked/serged. There were 3 ways of doing them, they were - bias binding, which would have taken metres, folding it up (but they don't recommend that due to the curves) and overlocking! I took the easiest option. Love Chris

asterixsew by asterixsew 23 Sep 2014

I too would have taken the easy option
