I just finished another bag. I used the same pattern, as the last one I made, and the same fabric. I just switched the fabric pieces (shown in last photo). I used an Urban Threads design and it stitched out fantastic! I should have used lime green, instead of the gold thread, for the swirls in the background. I think the lime would have shown up better. I attached the straps, on each bag, differently too.-Pattern for bag-click on link, then click on header at top 'Free Sewing Patterns'. It is the Modern Curves tote.-I didn't show the back of bags. This one is red like the front panel/pocket. The one without design has the royal blue back.

No purple this time. I think my next will be black/white/colors. It may be a while tho, Avery got a stomach virus, while at her dads.

Haven't heard this morning, but mom hooked her to her pump with Pedilite yesterday and got her some phenergan suppositories, from the doctor. She wasn't throwing up anymore and the med was making her rest/sleep. Hopefully today will be improvement.

Toogie you keep excelling yourself with these beautiful bags. The embroidery design is from Urban Threads? Thanks for showing us your great work

ut6720-It was a free design, 3 szs, at Urban Threads. It was 5 colors, but I just used these two. The bird was pink and blue. They give new designs every 2 weeks,I believe.

Thanks, me too, Lidia, trouble is I wanted to keep one for myself but which? I liked the blue best, bc it doesn't have as much red. But looking here, the bird is pretty on the red. Oh,dear.-lol

Looks fantastic. I am not big on red either but this reminds me of Fall I have always loved the blue sky and firey reds of sunset and leaves in Fall. Love the bird too. I love it.

I like fall colors too and the skies, anytime. I love the colors of the leaves, in the movie with Richard Gere, can't remember the girl or name of movie. The trees all had colors of rust, oranges, reds. I guess I like those colors in nature, not so much my clothing-lol- maybe her name was Naomi Wyatt ??? The scene was someone walking down a hill and all the trees were brillant with these flaming colors. What was the movie????

I guess I would rather be called the 'purse queen' than the 'bag lady'-lol-thanks for looking. I wanted to give my oldest sister one for her b-day, and me keep the other. She is out of state right now, so I may have to wait until she comes back, to get mine. That way she can choose. (The middle sister is the one that likes red, but I think this sister will like one of these anyway.) I want to try one out, to see if I like the style or if I want to change anything, if I make more.

Thank you, Lillian,I just wish my choice of threads were as easy. I should have used lime green, under the bird, instead of the gold thread.

Thank you. I wish I would have used the lime green thread to make the scrolls 'pop', though.I do however like that I did the bird all one color, it was suppose to be 4 colors.

I liked this design the minute I downloaded it, just waiting to use it on something. It stitched out smoothly, no problem.
