I have not not watched the news in a few days. Usually is it so upsetting and I feel powerless to change things. I get most of my news from you ladies. I hope it was a calm day. I pray for peace.

There are certain events in life that will not be forgotten, that we remember other events in terms of, that shape that part of our life. For me, Kennedy's crisis with Cuba, Kennedy being short, Marilym Monroe committing suicide (and my parent's endless discussions about it), and most of all, 9-1-1, We remember the context of these events - where we were and who we were with as we heard the news, what we did afterward, how it was reported. It still makes me cry to see Walter Cronkite on tape crying about Kennedy's death announcement because it takes me back to that moment. What are the events of your life like this that have impacted who you are?

Oh, yes. I was teaching during that time so related to Krista MacAuliffe. So shocking.

This day changed many things, but the one thing it didn't and couldn't change was our God. He's the same today as always and will be the same forever.

My heart goes out to all those who lost loved ones and to the rest of the world that still cannot understand, how this could happen. I pray love will conquer hate...

Amazing it was 13 years ago. I can never forget this day of infamy.
