8/18/14 Yay! New machine. Asked at my dealer to watch out for a used Janome 350e, low mileage, good tires and they called back the next day with one the lady had two months and decided she wanted the commercial machine instead. It was almost 50% less because of the two months' use and still full warranty. They even kicked in 5 spools of thread and 3 yards of stabilizers. (I have the best dealer - PM me if you live near Auburn, Alabama.) Will spend my day trying to wedge it into the sewing room.

Congratulations and I hope you have great fun with each other. As the owner of two preloved machines I know you have a good buy. I don't need a new machine, well not really and I don't live near you or I just might PM you

This is #2. If/when I get my room set up right, the idea is to run two machines at a time, probably one with FSL most of the time!

I have a 350E great machine. They do make noise, so make sure you have it on a firm surface, no wiggling. I also purchased the extra hoops, I don't use the mega hoop very much but the small C hoop is a handy hoop to have for small embroidery, I have used it when a mistake has occurred and just embroidered over the area. Another trick for this machine for hooping is , there is a link somewhere on the site, but because of the screws on the hoop it doesn't lie flat on the table for when you hoop. I use a cutting broad covered with a non slip fabric and place those prongs in the handle opening of the board.
I saw the trick with the non slip fabric, (comes on a roll , you can get it at the dollar store) on an embroidery site. It really does work.
You will love this machine , congratulations
