234253Losing my younger brother was one of the most difficult losses I have experienced. He shared all of my history. He knew my childhood as only someone who had experienced it could have. You can only do it one day at a time or sometimes one hour or one minute. God will get you through and keep remembering that you have eternity and that your brother will be with you forever. Without faith I could not go on sometimes. It is my only sustaining light and my greatest joy. I will be sure and remember you in my talks with God, Aleene. It will take some time, but you will eventually be able to smile and remember the good times that you shared and the funny and heartwarming stories your brother created with his life. God bless you.

Please consider writing down some of your memories of your childhood while they are still fresh, even if no one else is interested in it except you; but I am sure your remaining family with whom you have acquired as an adult will be happy to read about you and your brothers when you were children.
