I been going Apples tonight sewing these 3 -80 inches long By 30 wide curtains tonight .But they turned out ok .

The interesting thing is;on the bottom hem she asked me to sew 4 inches then leave 3 so she could put rocks in it for weight.
And i thought i had heard of everything lol What next???
Thanks for LQQKING Hugs Carolyn

I really like the fabric sort of makes you hungry, we have always used either heavy washers of small sinkers borrowed of course for dads tool shed.. well done..

Oh, I love your apples! They will be great curtains! Cheery. I made my living room drapes. I started putting metal washers in the hem to keep them from blowing, but ran out, so used pennies; they were cheaper anyway, and fully recyclable when the curtains wear out.

You can buy weights for curtains. You use them if they hang by an open window and blow a lot...

I've seen people use pennies in the corners or a large washer, which can easily be secured through the center from the back side of the curtains.

Is this a bushel and a peck? :-P We've used magnets if something to stick on; used fishing weights, the washers...but rocks not so much. :-D

Interesting, but I guess rocks will do as weights if they are flat, but they will hang in her house. As long as she is happy. That is a lot of fabric to move around. I know, I've done long and wide curtains for my home. Great job on these

I have found that old unused keys or metal washers also make nice wts for curtains. Great job on your sewing expertise Carolyn/Lillian
