This is where it all started...On youtube from the Missouri Quilt Co. --turtorial-Dresden Plate Purse...Actually I made a black and white one first but the opening was way to small, so did it again, here in brown, still a little tight so made another in gray. With the last two I put a magnetic closure inside, a little more secure....I still like them...

Hope you do too...

Very nice! I love her stuff!!! I have actually rode past her shop in Hamilton, MO I think was the name of that small town. Hubby wouldn't stop, we were in a rush to be somewhere else with my son. I love her website and you tube videos, she's a wealth of information.

Yes the store is in Hamilton, Mo.; about 11 miles east, off I 35 northbound.

I wish I could go there, but I live a long ways away in Nevada...and I also love her stuff...fun to watch...

This company has an interesting history behind it, must take a day trip there one of these days, even if I don't quilt I'm sure I can find something I can't live without! :)

I think we all could fine something we really need in that store....Would love to know the history you speak of.

Leaha by Leaha 17 Jun 2014

If you go to the website they have the story of how the store came to be. I think it's under the heading 'about us' on their main page. They came to Missouri after living in California, settled in Hamilton; needed jobs, started this business, family owned and operated; also have local helpers and the rest is history.

I actually just cut off about a half inch all around and really that wasn't enough for me so the gray one got a deeper cut, but made the purse shallower (is that a word) but I still like it, will put it up later as the handles are different...
