They are made with 2 hand towels and 1/2" high loft batting in between. I just sew around the edges and then quilt about 4" apart. The size is about 15" x 25" and they fit perfectly into the kennels in the shelter. I buy the towels from the Dollar Store so can make a whole bunch for fairly cheap. Thanks - I have made abut 100 of these so far and all the animal shelters I give them to just love them because they can be washed and re-used.
