You are mixing the designs, but the color and theme is the same. That gives the set unity. But I sure wouldn't worry about them not "matching." I make sets that don't match all the time, but, like you, keep the color or theme the same.

Mixing them is fine. Mom's love whatever their kids give them and yours will love these. Does she live close to you?
