I like the swirls and the butterflys best, and their colors, altho the horses are pretty too.Love the yellow fabric.Wish you would have given me this idea a few months back-lol- my g-sons wedding shower is this Saturday.I could have done something for them, to match their BJquilt,I made.Oh well,I do have more g-kids-lol
Thanks. Oh, darn, sorry I didn't put something up sooner - lol. The swirls are from dbc, but they are by basketkase #9189447-102009, but not sure if the nbr on her site is the same.
The Butterflies I'm not sure where I got them.
OK - I checked again and the swirls are ones that I bought around xmas and when you go to her site point to designs and a menu drops down, click on everything else - the page it takes you to go to the left side down to the 23rd row and that's the one.
wow seems to cover my response - so imaginative and pretty! Great solution to covering box spring and very unique. I would have been nuts trying to decide what all designs to use, etc. Great job!!
It was difficult to decide! I did the horses for on my hubbies side and the dolphins and butterflys on mine and then on the end I had the two meet in the middle with the double horse heads.
Beautiful work. Much works for you. I like the tribal horses.
Awesome project.. Beautifully done.. Congratulations....
Oh wow..............awesome...........what a terrific project!
Wow! That is a lot of hoopings! Did you count them? Looks great!
Thanks! Yes it was a lot of hoopings and I never thought about counting them - might have to do that.
Great job!! I made one and vowed it would be my last. I do remember the idea to use a flat sheet as your starting point, Kay
Love the yellow! Your designs and arrangement are great. What a novel idea. Thanks for sharing this. :)
Linda this is wonderful! You did an amazing job & I can see why you are so very proud of it! ~hugs~
That is a labor of love, if I've ever seen one.
This is beautiful! I am way behind in getting mine made, too. Care to share any pointers on how you made/assembled the skirt itself? I am very new to my serger. I'll have to see if mine does a wave stitch. This is very nice. I know your are quite proud of it!
Thanks! Further to what I said in the answer below (to babash) After I embroidered the three panels, I joined them and then hemmed them using the wave stitch (a special stitch on my serger), then joined that to the sheet I had cut to fit inbetween the boxspring and mattress.
Wow what a lot of work. Can't wait to see what you do for a quilt. That is outstanding. I could imagine the trouble you had doing it all in one length of fabric.
Thanks! We have a great quilted bedspread, but it's too warm and we only use a sheet so with the bedskirt it hides the box spring and beneath it.
I had four panels of which I did embroidery on 3 of them (the fourth was close in color but had tiny white polka dots) and then joined them.
This is great. Never thought of doing this. Maybe do something
like this for my daughters best friend. She is having another baby.
