Had a stall at the local market today selling husbands orchids which were in flower & other odds & ends .Got home to discover that I had left my chair with the bag containing money ,phone etc behind.Got back into the car flew back down to the market to find it just where I had left it, in the shade of the next stallholders van, no one had even noticed it sitting there.I was more interested in getting home to go to the loo & forgot to check everything was packed into the car.One person wondered why I was back again.

My esperience was a heart stopper, yet funny too (in my warped mind). I set my purse on the ground at a garage sale ...to free my hands for looking thru fabric. My DH appeared -and began helping me stack into my arms..then pulled out his wallet and said, "Let's go pay for this". Down the road about 2 miles, I realized I did not have my purse. We hurriedly drove back, me saying all the way--"it is useless--it is already gone". LO! there it sat with shoppers wandering all round! Funny because I figured no one was interested in even touching my 'obviously' used purse. OMG, all my ID, credit/debit cards, money...you can probably imagine the relief. I did it once before--walked out of a restaurant & left my shoulder bag hanging on the chair back. Further down the road before realizing. Got lucky again and all was as I left it. I NEED A KEEPER!
So happy for you that it turned out well.

I'm so glad for you everything was still there!

I once lost my handbag, phone and all my money earned that day, on a fleamarket - they stole it from right under my eyes! Luckily they threw my ID book (here in South Africa you can do nothing without it) and my driver's license along side the road, and someone picked it up and took it to the police station where it was returned to me.

Yet my friend was going on an overseas trip with his wife, and on the day of his flight, he accidentally left his bag with his tickets, travellers' cheques, cash money converted to dollars, ID documents, credit cards etc, somewhere.

When he realized it was gone, he had no idea where he left it. When he went to security for help, someone has found his bag and handed it in at lost and found. He got everything back in time for his flight - not a cent missing! And this was in South Africa with our extremely high crime rate. God is good, and you still get honest people.

Enjoy your next market!
Best Regards
Anneliese

I think it depends where you loose things, husband left his empty shopping bag in Target ,it was never handed in .I left a wet umbrella in Lincraft (fabric shop) it was handed in.

Major sigh of relief! I am hoping in my heart that if someone did find it, they would find you! Got a pic of these gorgeous flowers?

You girls..........................what are we going to do with you? None the less, I am glad to hear that you live amongst honest people and found your possessions intact. So.....relief on two counts.....lol

Now, I am ver interested in your husbands orchid growing which is a hobby I used to enjoy. I would be very interested to hear any more information and perhaps see some pictures.

Husband was there too, helping load up & he didn't even know what I was talking about when we got home but when the money was mentioned he was all ears.
Photos are taking too long to load at the moment probably because of all the tourists around. Our Aussie climate is weird at the moment ,lots of things are flowering at the wrong time

Not to worry about the pictures. I think that the climate issue is hitting us all in much the same way at present.

You can be lucky some times. I did a similar thing years back when I was going to work one morning. I put my basket with handbag inside on the fence while I opened the garage door. For got to pick it up and put it in the car. Noticed when I parked and went to get the basket form the back seat and it was not there. My heart was in my mouth all the way back home to find it still where I had left it. I can tell you I was releived. Can't remember if I was late for work or not. Hope you had a successful day sales wise. Shirley

yes it was a good day & it was a lovely sunny day especially after all the rain we have had over the past few weeks.I'm sure it has managed to rain every day. People don't seem to be as honest as they use to be, so you usually think the worst.
