I embroidered "happy birthday Kim" on a 2" grosgrain ribbon. I digitised it in such a way that I had parallel lines to place the ribbon correctly as I had to embroider it out 4 times to go around a 12" square cake... Maths has never been my strong poi

Looks good! Placement lines take the guessing out of a lot of problems, and you did well to use them in this case.

I think digitising starts with a good program. I use the latest Wilcom and although it was expensive it allows me to do what I want and it's a lot easier than I thought 😄
