Good morning Carolyn! I'm back! I like all of this project.I especially LOVE your fabrics.I tried the free hand quilting and I must say,I do need more practice-lol-I wasn't very good at it. Is that a banketstitch around the outer edge? I hope I can figure out how you folded, to make your corners, and end up with your buttoned flap. It's probally simple but my brain is too this morning-lol -Toogie
Really cute. The buttons really finish it off. Thanks for sharing.
I like it, the ideas everyone has are inspirational especially when I need something new to keep me motivated. Thanks for sharing.
Me to lots of times i sit and look aty my patterns to see what i would like to sew lol hugs
This is a cute and simple designs. I love it and your fabrics are wonderful!

Love your little basket! I can think of so many uses for it.
I really appreciate all that Cutie's share. Thank you. This I have to make
Noah when do you get time to eat my friend. This is lovely and is one io will most certainly have to do.
keep warm
love it, you are so clever, do you ever sit down & chill out, lol, xx
Fantastic......love the little button detail, too!
Very nice. I remember making one a while back but smaller for a thread catcher. I like this size much better.
I like this. Granddaughter would like this for her dresser.
I must of seen another post, because I pulled out the freezer paper to made a large stipple. now I know why! Thank you Caroline!
ooooh, what an original idea for a thread catcher ( a bit smaller)..you inspire us all! Yes, Noah, I have done many quilts with the 'meander'/stipple stitch--or my own version- many lap quilts and even 2 K size. It is fun to do and quick for charity quilts.
yes so true good for you:):)its funny 50 years ago we called it crazy quilting and its still in my old head lol
Love your little box fabric is real cute to !!
Lovely colours, Carolyn. These baskets are just like the soup bowl holders we had some time ago. Only difference apart from the size is the buttons on the flaps.
I just love your quilting. Wish you could give me some lessons but you are toooooooo far away!!!!
Carolyne that is beautiful. I have something similar next to my sewing machine for thread catcher. Carole
It looks great, love it! Thank you for the pictures.
Hugs, Lidia
So Cute. Thanks for the photos. Makes me think i could make one. Kay
you could do it in Easter Fabric to make an Easter basket or you could make 2 of them & turn one upstairs & then glue a pompom onto the (bottom) & place a spare roll of tp inside & then use the bottom to cover it up! AM I saying it right?
Love your choice of fabric & this is a great little box. Like Bev I think many uses & many size options too! hugs Loralye
Excellent basket and the perfect fabric for your sewing room!
These little baskets are good for lots of things. Good idea!
Bev ;)
Gorgeous job on this. Thanks for the photos showing the steps. Now it makes sense.
This is a very nice basket! You do good work!
That is so neat! A friend gave me one she'd gotten at a show. However, it wasn't quilted or the botton sewn on the flap. I like yours much better as the one I have sorta doesn't want to stay open. It's for the thread ends so it sits by my machine...one of them!
