I needed something to compliment my entrance so I made a tree from scratch. I used a dead limb that I found in the bush, I let the limb dry for a month. I secured the limb in plaster of paris in the pot, drilled hole in the limb and insert each branch in the holes and added a little bit of glue from my glue gun. In real life it is stunning. Now that is thinking outside the square, perhaps you have started a new train of ideas!!. Can we all add to this???. Here is my contribution.
A settlement crack appeared in my kitchen plasterboard, opening up about 2 mm right across the ceiling, an 8 ft span. We could not disguise it with filler or paint so... shall I go on???...........Ann

Actually it was easy. You let the branch set in the plaster of paris and use a drill and just drill holes all down the branch.
