Very nice, what software did you use, Sfumato Stitch by Embird?
I didn't use any software. I bought the design from Letzrock, an Australian digitiser, downloaded it, put the design on the card that goes into my Brother Innovis 4000, and embroidered it. I didn't digitise it myself.
I have done photo stitch before.A lot of stitches...my towel i put it on was stiff as a board. It kept stitching over and over in the same place .I did not care that much for it myself.
Maybe your design kept stitching over and over in the same place because you were stitching on a towel. I only stitch these designs on plain fabric, and then put it in a frame, so if it turns out stiff, it doesn't matter. I did a cross stitch picture not long ago, that I bought from Advanced Embroidery, it was called Girl with a Pearl Ear Ring from the painting by Vermeer. It had literally thousands of stitches, and took me seven hours to stitch, but I put it in a frame with a mount, and every time I look at it, I can't believe that I actually machine stitched it.
Well done. Have any memory of how many stitches this design has and the time it took you to stitch it out?
I'm afraid I can't help you there. It was five years ago, and my PC crashed and I lost the design along with hundreds of others. It probably was a lot of stitches, and maybe took some time, but I have all the time in the world, and I was doing it for myself, so time didn't matter. I bought the design from Letz Rock, in Australia, so if you go to the site, you might get to see how many stitches were in it.
