Wouldn't it be fun to have a huge Cutie Party! We could have a marathon where we stitch around the clock! It shouldn't be too difficult since we have so many time zones. We could all furnish some kind of food treat too, and share the photos and the recipes with each other... Maybe we could all stitch a similar design, for a united purpose.....

Hi Jan - I thought you had taken on a huge amount with this idea. If I can make a suggestion - why don't we still have a 'sew in' and just give a date. It is far too difficult to link up time zones. You will have Cuties trying to sew in the middle of the night. LOL. For example I know for a fact that Chris (pennifold) in Australia is 9 hours ahead of me in South Africa. Hugs as always Sarah.

NOTICE ••••••
Hi All, I'm so sorry, but I have decided I'm not going to do anything formal with this idea at this time, and maybe someday, it might be fun to organize a Cutie party. It was just getting to complicated with all the Time Zones, too hard to explain and I'd probably upset someone. So for now, This cyber party for Cuties just isn't going any further. Please forgive me. Hugs, and thanks for your understanding! Jan

I'm having my nose job today, so give me three days and I'll post a sign up time sheet and details! Please pray for me, but mostly for my DH so he can take care of my son, Ben, who is 25, and disabled. He doesn't like his mom to be in bed! LOL

Here is a Marmot, also known as a ground hog. My SIL was attempting to take his photo! Cute little rodent! They are wild, but pretty easy to tame with goodies.

Sounds like a great fun idea. As long as the time doesn't interfere with Downton Abbey on TV. ha ha

That is going to be a tough time slot to cover unless it's on different days in some markets.

marjialexa by marjialexa 05 Jan 2014

NOTHING can interfere with Downton Abbey, especially this season! Who ever saw Matthew's car wreck coming?! I cried, for pity's sake, 65 years old, I cried.

spendlove by spendlove 06 Jan 2014

Do you want any hints about the next season?

pldc by pldc 06 Jan 2014

NO I just started to watch this series & I am only on the last of season 3, season 4 starts here next Sunday & I am Hooked! What a great series!

I just had a friend ask me if I watched Downtown Abbey. I was trying to locate it this morning. I can't find it. what day is it on? Susan

Think the majority are already sewing the same design with Sues Dewsbury Twist which is uniting the Cuties around the world judging by the pictures of it in Projects. Visiting Cute is always uplifting seeing what is going on and where. Do we need party hats too?

February 2nd in the US is Ground Hog's Day. On that day, in a town in Pennsylvania, called Punxsutawney there is a traditional celebration to determine how long it will be till Spring officially arrives. With much pomp and circumstance, a groundhog is pulled out of his hole. If the sun is shining and he sees his shadow, it means there will be 6 more weeks of winter. Basically, that's it. It doesn't mean a lot. It's just fun. How about we have a GroundHog Stitching Party. We could all make something to go to an animal shelter for them to use either for their animals, or to sell for a fundraiser? February 2nd is a Sunday, so that would be a weekend day. We could each sign up for one or two hours to be stitching during that 24 hour period. Somehow we could set up a chatting place where we can share our projects, and a "snack table" so we could all share our snacks and recipes. Of course the most fun will just be spending some cyber time together, and making something to help furbabies. What do you think???

I love the idea! I'm up in Erie, PA, maybe about 60 miles from Punxsutawney. You must be somewhere in the area, too, or you couldn't spell it!! Groundhog's name is Phil. They filmed some of the movie "Groundhog Day" with Bill Murray right there. I like the animal shelter tie-in, as well, Phil is a groundhog, after all. Let us know, maybe start a special thread? I'll do something in the afternoon to early evening. This is a great idea. Hugs, Marji

hightechgrammy by hightechgrammy 07 Jan 2014

I used Google to find the spelling - LOL! I'm in Rocky Mountains, Colorado. We love the movie with Bill Murray! Phil that's right! We don't have ground hogs here, but have marmots - same thing.

Count me in. Are we going to all stitch the same design? Will it be available to everyone to down load and sized for the different hoop sizes? Will we be able to choose the time when we stitch the design or will we be stitching in our time zone for the entire 24 hours? If 24 hours, will we do multiply stitch-outs of the same design or have more than one design to stitch? We may need lead time for those that may to order supplies by mail. Thanks hightechgrammy for such a wonderful idea. Oh, one more thought, we might choose what organization that we might be interested in helping as to what type of designs we stitch-out. Just sign up the website for which type of designs or organization/charity that we would like to help.

From WayDownUnder I'll do my bit if I'm here - Central Australian Time. This is the year I want/mean/need to stitch. So I'll watch out for the dates and times and do my best to join in. This sort of thing is real fun. It mainly depends on DHDon, but already the first three days of '14 have been spent doing hospital runs with him.
Just do the planning.... :}

This sounds like fun. I am wondering if there is something we could all stitch that could serve as a service project. Maybe embellish some baby blankets or something for project Linus. You guys have been doing this for a longer time than me.. so I would love to hear what you come up with.

by wendymay60 02 Jan 2014

Sure sounds like fun & you would have to be able to be stitching at a set time, not sure if this is right but as there is 24 hours in a day that is 1440 minutes & if there is 200 cuties sewing for 7.2 minutes, rounded to 8 minutes or more the hardest part would be organizing times. to have machines stitching in the time zone. 2 or more sewing in same times will fill in any machine stc breakdowns.
