This time I am drawing a blank for digitize addition. But This is next in the doll dress making. I put this one together with two different pattern era's and added lace for collar. Got another GD plays with them also. So couple more then this Grandma is into something else.

Nice doll clothes! The one good thing about doing these they don't take as long but still can be tedious! Lucky little girl to get all these nice doll clothes!

It's beautiful and takes such a little bit of elegant fabric and trims.

so pretty, but from personal experience, so time consuming. However it is all worth the effort when the little girls play with the Barbie. The crushed velvet is so gorgeous

Thanks, I have to agree takes time and when I was in my 20's I would not have done one like this.

Thanks Loralye. It is from a vintage pattern Mom had for me. From the 60's that was a sleeveless gown. I then added sleeves from a 1996 pattern. I wanted the organiza satin top so I cut out two of the upper part lined bodice with white satin. I got a different piece of organiza for sleeves as I was sewing I was looking at my lace drawer and thought I think that will be a more dressed neckline so moaned it on. Very close work sewing machine. While digging for something else found some ribbon roses I thought was long gone. Handstitched it in place. Added the velvet skirt bottom from the vintage. I can honestly say if you take the time look at your pattern pieces you can add or take from one pattern to another. Only thing about the 11.5 to 12 inch dolls is small to work with. Lol and if you are into to much you can cut out and make two of same back sides like I did here and ended up just cutting out another two pieces and watching what I was doing so I could have both left and right back pieces and ta da finished.

Thanks Carolyn. No If you look closer you can see I took picture in front of my computer monitor which is a wallpaper on my desktop. I tend to change things pretty often. ~hugs
