Oh Lordy, I have made a mess of this and caused you to misunderstand. The dog attack was the last week of Sept. and it was my rt. ankle that I was bitten on. Have been going 1 and 2 times a week for debrideiment for 9 weeks now. Been rough but now finally healing. the head wound with the 16 staples is when I fell out of my walk in shower and hit the corner of my linen closet(NO) I was not drinking nor taking pain meds. Lost my balance and down I went. there I was (nekkid) and bleeding and the next thing I knew, paramedics, emts and ambs. in my front yrd and then amb to ER. what a mess. I'm so sorry to confuse you , it was not intentional. I'm thankful I didn't break anything my daughter says my head is so hard if I had to land on something she was glad it was that. If that wasn't bad enough the Dr. said after the CAT Scan they did on my head there was no brain up there. My Sn N Law pipes up with" we all knew that already" , seriously it was really bad, worst H.A. I've ever had. I'm a survivor, I'm still in the back brace and back didn't seem to be any worse so for that I'm truly thankful. Again my friends I did not mean to mislead you. Please forgive. Much much love/Lillian

Lillian, you must feel like you have been "chewed, bitten, and beaten" in the worst way!! Glad the fall didn't worsen the back! Hang in there, and get well soon!!

Oh, well that's supposed to be better than a dog trying to eat your head off? HaHa. Well, at least you didn't catch pneumonia being nekkid and traveling all over town with strangers.
Seriously,I'm glad you are getting better. My daughter says I'm as tough as whit leather. Those girls get sassy when they think we can't take a switch to them, don't they?
P.S. Your doctor is not telling the truth. You have a mighty fine brain.
Love you!

Oh, Lillian, dog bait isn't bad enough, but a flasher too? Jeez, how embarrassing! (Pun intended) If it had been me, I'm afraid the paramedics would have been stifling laughter, and the younger ones would have run the other way! I may consider starting to shower with my bathing suit on, just in case, I'm none too steady any more, either. Could you please try to take care of yourself, please? Get grab bars, a bath chair, something? We need you, dear lady, and love you. Guess I'll just pray for your whole body, that ought to about cover it, just in case I manage to miss some other excitement in your life. Please, please be careful, sweet thing! Hugs, Marji

Miss Lilian, we 38-ers are a tough lot but don't try and test that again! I hope you heal completely and can enjoy the festive month! Love, Martine.

Oh Golly!!! I hope the shower door was open. Don't laugh... one of my 16 year old students fell through the glass shower wall. How?? No-one will ever know. She just had plenty of deep, deep bruising, deep, nasty cuts and a story she couldn't really boast about.

I'm so glad that your back hasn't been hurt any further. I did wonder what you were doing to have a dog bite your head. Nine weeks of constant debridement is hard to take but it's good that the healing process has at last begun to happen.

Here's wishing you swift recovery from both ankle and head injuries. Funny, isn't it, how our closest loved ones relieve their fear, worry and concern with uncomplimentary comments in times of crises, like this.
