This is the 3rd block in my grandsons road quilt. The design is from Smart Needle & I echo quilting this block as well. The blocks are 9 inches then I add to them. I like the detail in these blocks but I prefer it if the chimney stayed the same as the bottom part, I am not fussy on the satin stitches @ the top. They are too big?

Super cute. I don't see a thing wrong with the chimney. It has to be brick to handle all of that smoke you know. :) I think you've done a stellar job!

This is just a delightful design! The little school bell, the apple, the book, and the doors to enter the school are just perfect! I'd be very happy to have such a nice outcome of this project.

Looks great...the main drawback of really wide satin stitching is that it can get caught by sharp or pointed objects...or kids fingernails...and it will pull...if this might cause you problems, there is a setting in your software that will split the satin stitches into two or more needle stitches...it is in the Object Details area....and it is in the Line Stitch tab and for Satin type stitches there is a box you need to check...Auto Split...and it will break up a very long satin stitch...

No luck?

On purchased designs, sometimes the software doesn't recognize the stitches...you might be able to go to the Re-sequence bar on the right, select all of the "satin stitch" objects and use the black boxes around the selected objects to reduce the size...or go to object details...select Dimensions...and reduce the width of the selected satin stitch items there (???)...there are always lots of options to edit purchased designs...or if all else fails...e-mail Trevor!
