I have a bernina artista 635 and I have problem. When I am sewing the machine will sew about 12 stitches then it will stop. I have checked the bobbin the top thread and cleaned everything I can think of to clean does anyone have any idea what is going on. On the display it shows the spool of thread and needle. The book says to check the upper thread and the bobbin which I have done both. The stitches are prefect. Please help I am sure I have just done something wrong.

Sounds like what mine did. I have an 810. It's a 1977 purchase. I took it to my Bernina dealer and he looked at it. The brushes were worn down so bad it ruined motor. I decided to have a used motor put in. Works now but cost a lot to fix. Love the machine.

Is this a sewing problem or an embroidery problem? If embroidery my Bernina sews a few stitches and stops so I can cut my thread tails off. I pull my bobbin thread to the top before starting the embroidery so can cut both at once. Then I resume and machine finishes that color, stops so I can change thread color then again stops to cut thread tail.

It is both a sewing and an embroidery problem. It first started with embroidery I was working on a design and it started so I decided to try the sewing and I still had the problem I just have something out of adjustment and my dealer is closed tomorrow if no one can help me I will just have to wait until she opens. Thanks for your quick response. Just love cuties. Hugs dean
