thought you guys would like to see what the comic boards actually accomplish when you start with a pile of fabric and fold onto the boards

1 pic is a pile I had in a tub, found if I rolled it the tub held more fabric LOL
2 this is the entire pile folded on boards
3 what it looks like on a shelf
what an amazing difference, I can actually find material and not hunt through a tub

they are card board made for comics normally, they are acid free so will not discolor your fabrics. I bought the 1000 of them almost through 600 now but here is were I bought mine, you can get them on Amazon or all kinds of places.

i use thin plywood cut to the size of the shelves or the fabric IE fat quarters can now be stacked with ease.
just edge with Dux tape to avoid any splinters.

I bought the 1000 boards for $53 with free shipping, plan on cutting them when I am done with the larger size pieces for the fat quarters.

It looks great! I ask for the empty cardboard when the bolt is empty and use that to roll my fabric. But I think yours looks much neater than mine.

thank you, I will as soon as it is all together, been working on it for a week and keep finding more material, so tired of folding, I might need an intervention

Excellent storage unit. Hubby did a great job making your cutting table and storage unit. It all looks fantastic and you are ready to find what you need! I wish I could say the same.
