Dear Cuties,

Would like to have some prayers sent my way. I'm trying to clean out 3 rooms (including my sewing room) and I am exhausted! My legs hurt, my back hurts and I just had to sit down. I'm getting new carpet and if I had known it would be this hard, I think I would have just kept the old until I moved out of this house. I don't know if I"ll ever get it all put back together before company comes next Friday to spend the weekend! Any suggestions????

Can you pay a small fee to a neighbor teen to help you out? Might be worth it to save the wear and tear on your body. Good luck!

Thank you all for the wonderful comments. My parents actually came over and helped me move the furniture and put things back. Everything is in it's place and starting to shape up. Thank you again!

How wonderful having new carpets - I am sure that you will soon have everything in it's place again.

Do what you can and don't worry about what you couldn't finish. Your guests will be so pleased that you got new carpeting for your room, they won't care what condition the room is in. So take your time and take care of you. And if this helps you, I have a room and a half's worth of sewing needs stuffed in a small room in the house we are presently living in. No one who has entered the room has said what a mess. They are all in awe of all the pretty fabric they see.

You will make it for sure. It may not be perfect, however it will be good. Have fun with your guests!

Set a kitchen timer for a 30 minute Power Nap and then dig back in. Oh, and Epsom salt in very warm water for the soreness. Bless you.

I use to fret over how the house looked when we were expecting "company"...whether family or friends...now my sentiment is...if you don't like it the way it is...then I guess the Hilton at the edge of town will be better for you..it's amazing how liberating it becomes...what you see, is the way it is...no apologies necessary...and if you feel like there are any pressures...I say the Hilton it is!

The visitors should understand what a big job you have had and if they don't that is their problem. In the past I have done what Bev suggested.

ask for help! you would be surprised at how many will come if you ask. If you don't have anyone to ask take breaks in between as it sounds like a big job. Your visitors are coming to see YOU not your place! don't wear yourself out before they get there! Hugs & good luck Loralye
