Quite an undertaking for a first quilt - king size. You planned and stitched beautifully. I Hope they are wowed by your work. Next quilt, lap size? hehe

All I can say is WOW! Looks great. I like the simple color statement. I'm sure they love it. Just hope they realize how much work you put into this. Very nice. Susan
What a brilliant job you have done with this. If I was so clever to make this I would not want to part with it. Your sister is going to be over the moon. Hugs Sarah.
For the non quilters, what is a " quilt as you go " method, and also , did you quilt this on a special quilting machine ? . It is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing .

STUNNING! Although I don't like these colours, (more of a blue/purple person) it's turned out beautifully. Love the quilted central design in all the blocks too and congratulations on doing a Quilt as You Go method. I've not done one of these, but I believe they are much faster. Love and blessings Chris
Its beautiful and so you should give yourself a pat on the back as well as your family for making this.
I love it and send you another pat on back and a hug for such a great job.

Wow seven weeks to make a quilt as gorgeous as this one marvellous job. I am sure that your family will love it. I plan to do a quilt as you go but have so many other quilts and they cost a lot of money to have quilted so have to finish all the others. Love the colours also
Stunning.....see if you can get both hands back there for a pat. ;)
Just beautiful...it's difficult to see...are all the squares the same design? Love the colors..reminds me of Cappuccino...now sure what the "sew as you go" method is...can you give us a brief explanation? They will surely treasure this..
You deserve a huge pat on the back Michelle this is a fantastic quilt! I am not familiar with sew as you go but I think I get the idea(how does it work?) & yes it would be heavy to work with but you did it! What will you make for yourself? Don't forget to make the label too, hugs Loralye
Absolutely stunning!! So very beautiful!! They will love it! Hugs, Laura*
Only 7 weeks?? Would have taken me 7 years!! Beautiful quilt.
