I promised ezzemml a showing of the mess from the UPP. It is not necessary to clean your sewing room for a Pitty Party. You just start a new mess in another room, that is the beauty of it. The best part was that my DH commented on the mess and couldn't recognize the room. It was a different picture though and didn't show the dining room table. I think it is time for him to return from Brazil. Yes, that is a large bag of M&M's on the table. Can you find any other goodies:0)

What this picture doesn't show are the piles around the rest of the room. I felt bad that we were making a mess and just leaving it, but Leah assured me it was our time for the UPP and we could just leave it, plus it sure made others jealous that stopped by because we were having so much fun.

The Mess is at your place next. I'll be there soon. I need the rest, housework and yard work is killing me. To many muscles in use lately.

Yeah get ready for the next pity party. Bring on the ideas, fun and don't forget the M&M's. We'll take pictures to share with all of you.

Indeed a tidy mess!! You should see my dinning room. I have always used my table to cut out projects and now have two computers and a printer in the DR. I wish I had a digital camera so I could post a picture.

Leah, this is great - I know that you are doing what you love - when it takes over the house - what a passion - I love it. *4U

I love your attitude :) My sewing room is currently the end of our lounge. It's quite a large lounge and I decided the family could spare me some space :) That way I can sew and keep an eye on the children at the same time. I do try not to take over the other end as well ;)

have to agree - a very tidy mess! I live in a small flat and my sewing room is a very small bedroom. I'm not at all organised. Perhaps if I removed the books from the bookcase I have in there and used the shelving to sort and store my fabric it would look very different. Jo

Somedays you just need to be in front of a different window. The view changes the perspective.*****

Amazingly enough. It is cleaned up and ready for the next time. I will show my sewing room later. I am fortunate to have a large room for sewing and scrapbooking. Each hobby needs their own warehouse:0)*****

I agree this is a "tidy" mess. I started with a closet, then a added a second closet, then added the wall of the den, then added the bedroom vacated when my second daughter got married and now I have added the dining room. When asked what I am doing with the fabric I tell people I am insulating my house. I too have a wonderful supportive husband who never complains about my obsession with fabric (sometimes he evens suggests I buy more). a *4U

The insulating the house does usually does receive a smile. Yes, he certainly is a keeper. We will celebrate 32 years this month (6/26).

My DH came in my room to visit me once. He loved the emb machine and commented about how our Mothers and Grandmothers would have loved it. I will hang their washboard out to dry anyday.*****
