Jumpers for my grandgirls. I had two pairs of LLBean corduroy pants in a size 18 tall with ducks on them. I am 5'2" size 8. I got the brainstorm to see if I could rebuild them into jumpers for my grandgirls and this is what I came up with. I had to put a seam down the middle of the front. The pockets were the back pockets taken off the pants. The binding was taken off the pants waistband and I cut off the bottom of the front pockets to make enough binding. The top one is size 5 and the bottom one is size 8. My grandgirls love them! Thank you for looking at my rebuild. Hugs, Barba

Love the dresses. I'm still trying to figure out how you had enough material to make 2 dresses from 1 set of pants even if it was a size 18, wow!

I had 2 pairs. I made the size 5 jumper out of the fronts of the legs and the size 8 jumper out of the backs of the legs. It took me 3 days to rip out all the seams and get the material ready to recut. It took longer to undo the pants than it did to make the jumpers. LOL Thank you. Hugs, Barba

Wonderful work. Just wondered how you had size 18 but are a 8 so presume you have lost weight. These are lovely

They were on a discount rack for 2 dollars so I bought them last year and was originally going to cut them down for me but never did. I was cleaning out my cloth bucket and found them so I decided to make the jumpers instead. I am glad with my decision as the girls love them. Thank you. Hugs. Barba

wonderful idea and wonderful finished jumpers. Very impressive you even used the binding from pants. I love your resourcefulness, congratulation on a project well done.

Thank you. I am my worst critic. The pockets are not perfectly even but my grandgirls will never notice. I ripped them off once but still got them crooked. LOL Hugs, Barba

Love how you refashioned and recycled the garments. The pockets should be a big hit with them. If you have a tiny bit of fabric left a bunny or some other toy to put in the pocket would be fun for them to find.

Thank you. What a fantastic idea. I do have some little scraps and the wastebands. I thought about using the wastebands for bag handles. Hugs, Barba
