Love the dresses. I'm still trying to figure out how you had enough material to make 2 dresses from 1 set of pants even if it was a size 18, wow!
I had 2 pairs. I made the size 5 jumper out of the fronts of the legs and the size 8 jumper out of the backs of the legs. It took me 3 days to rip out all the seams and get the material ready to recut. It took longer to undo the pants than it did to make the jumpers. LOL Thank you. Hugs, Barba
Wonderful work. Just wondered how you had size 18 but are a 8 so presume you have lost weight. These are lovely
They were on a discount rack for 2 dollars so I bought them last year and was originally going to cut them down for me but never did. I was cleaning out my cloth bucket and found them so I decided to make the jumpers instead. I am glad with my decision as the girls love them. Thank you. Hugs. Barba
Great job! Repurposing is a fun hobby of mine, also.
wonderful idea and wonderful finished jumpers. Very impressive you even used the binding from pants. I love your resourcefulness, congratulation on a project well done.
Your recycle is great. Your GD's will love their jumper.
very cute... love the recycle project and they will love them..
These dresses are sweet& what fortunate girls to have a clever sewing grandma too. Thanks for sharing them.:~D
Thank you. I feel fortunate to have grandgirls that love anything I do for them. They even love my homemade bread and pies. Hugs, Barba
You have done a great job , the girls will love them.
Love how you refashioned and recycled the garments. The pockets should be a big hit with them. If you have a tiny bit of fabric left a bunny or some other toy to put in the pocket would be fun for them to find.
Thank you. What a fantastic idea. I do have some little scraps and the wastebands. I thought about using the wastebands for bag handles. Hugs, Barba
