I saw that film as well, only because Colin Firth was in it, but I really enjoyed the film, and was pleased that I was able to get this design.

Thank you. If you think you would go to sleep stitching Freddie Mercury, it wouldn`t take long for you to nod off on this one!

Wow I have just looked at advanced: More than 133.000stitches and 23colors (don't wanna know how often you have to change the thread!).
Too much for me *lol*
Greetings, Bettina

The thread got changed so many times, along with the bobbins, I could almost do it with my eyes shut!! What's more, I didn't have the colours they did it in, I had to match theirs with what I had, and I think I got it right! Go on, have a go !!

Just amazing, did you make the pattern yourself??

No, I bought the design from Advanced Designs. They have it in photo stitch and cross stitch, I chose the cross stitch version, but if I had known how long it would take, I might have had second thoughts! But I am very pleased with it, and looking forward to framing it.

A big pat on the back for you. I am proud of you to attempt this and it was worth every color change and every minute to finish it.

Pat this is an amazing piece of work. I admire your patience, I dont think I would attempt anything that took the time this did. Well done on creating this

I don't normally have much patience, but if I didn't do it, my son would have 'had a go' at me for being a wimp !!! He has got me making a quilt now, for my bed, although I don't need one, he said I am not putting my talents to good use by making Christmas and birthday cards , so I am now making a quilt, cream satin, padded and lined in the hoop, I think I have worked out how many 5 inch squares to make, just under 200 !! I have done 53 so far, he went to Scotland on Thursday and said he wants to see 30 of them done when he comes home tomorrow, I've done 4 !! Well, I do have to watch Corrie and Eastenders !! Am I bovvered ?

asterixsew by asterixsew 12 Jan 2013

Pat your reply has had me laughing . Good luck with the quilt which I am sure will get made but not as quicky as your son expects. Let him have a go at producing one

pennifold by pennifold 13 Jan 2013

No I don't think you are bovvered at all. I use to watch Catherine Tate and one of her characters always said that. She is a scream! Love and blessings Chris

P.S. Good luck with the rest of your quilt.

Thank you, this one took a long time, 7 hours embroidering time, not counting changing the numerous threads, bobbins as well, and holding my breath that it was worth the time spent sitting watching it appear !!! My first machine cross stitch, I jumped in at the deep end !!!

Beautiful Pat, must have taken a long time to sit watching this stitch out!

7 hours actually !! I nearly decided not to do it when I saw the time come up on my machine !! But I suppose it took longer than that because there were so many colour changes, which included the bobbins as well, and I keep looking at it now and wondering where I got the patience from!!
