Thanks for typing out the instructions. (they are the very bottom of all the comments) i will be making a couple sets for my kitchen.
Thanks
very cute design...the illistrations are great, but I can't make out the written instructions...gonna try anyway...thank you
i tryed your design its now on or under projects ,would love to try the one u showed us with the big hole or circle for hanging ????
I modified the January towel topper design from Emblibrary - found here http://www.emblibrary.com/EL/Prod... I just sewed a large square of fabric to the corner of the towel and then trimmed the top of the towel to match the design. Then I used the hole from DBC here http://www.cuteembroidery.com/433...
love it! only have a 5x7 hoop; could you share one that is 5x7? thank you so much
Thank you for the fabulous towel topper!! I've never tried one like this before. I look forward to trying. Your towels look great!!
This is awesome. Thanks. The larger directions. I really needed them. Stella
Thank you for your pictures and instructions. Neatly put together towels.
Photo 2: What you will need:
Large embroidery hoop (XL design = 200 x 260 mm; Large design = 140 x 250mm)
2 pieces of fabric – 7 x 11 inches
1 piece of lightweight batting – 6 x 3 inches (optional)
WSS or tear-away in your hoop
Prepare your towel. I like to cut off the hard edges to prevent breaking needles.
Color 1: Placement line for the towel.
Photo 3: Step 2: Align your towel with the placement line. Make sure your stitching line is slightly above the placement line – otherwise your stitching will show. The towel should be face up.
Color 2: Tack down. This will tack your towel down
Photo 4: Remove hoop from machine and place your fabric face down on the towel. The top of the fabric should align closely with the top of the towel. Tape or pin the fabric down. Repeat for the back of the hoop – see picture below.
Photo 5: Color 3: Tack down for the fabric.
Remove hoop from the machine and fold your fabric up. If you wish to add an embroidery design or some quilting, insert the batting. See picture below.
Photo 6: no instructions
Photo 7: Pin or tape your fabric in place.
Color 4: outline of the topper.
Photo 8: Remove hoop from machine and trim away excess fabric. Trim close to the stitching line but be careful not to cut any stitches. Make sure you trim the fabric away from both sides (ask me why this is important )
Photo 9: Return hoop to the machine and stitch out color 5 – the satin stitching.
Photo 10: Color 6: this is a buttonhole if you want to insert one.
Remove from hoop and trim away any stray ‘hairs’, sew on the button or insert a snap and you are finished!
Hope these help a bit more.
Vida
