My version of the ribbon wreath. I'm sorry the picture is a bit out of focus but you get the idea!

I took a circle of mounting board (approx 20cm) and cut the middle out leaving a 3cm ring. I wound the gift ribbon around a book to give me 20cm lengths and knotted these around the ring. Finally I used hot glue to fix foil covered chocolate balls.
Not as fancy as the one Kate made (bottom picture) but pretty quick! Hers is much bigger and made on a wire frame.

Maye you could do some small ones for pins and use your pretty clippings from your threads.

Both look very pretty, I think the cardboard ring is a good idea - easier to glue on the balls.
