Great Idea Sue...always a good idea to keep our heads warm ...Hugs Glenda x0x0x0
My daughter in law has lost all her hair from chemo -- and winter is here. I think I'll try to make one with a pink ribbon on it for her. Thanks for the terrific (and quick) idea.
This sounds like a lovely gift for your DIL, Im sure she will be delighted :) Best Wishes Jussy
My friend gave me a stocking cap when I was bald from chemo.....it said CHEMO SUCKS! That got attention for sure!
Looks nice and warm and if you have enough to make a scarf you will have an extra layer of warmth.
I love your hat idea!! I have trouble finding a hat that fits. Yours is super cute, so maybe I'll give your design a try.
Very nice. The great thing with these hats they are warm wash great and hang around for long use. I made buncn 4 years ago for church put name on them. Several still wearing and they still look great.
Great looking hat. It will keep your head quite warm next time you are out exercising your dogs. Very quick & easy - now that's my kind of project!!
very professional. Another saleable product for your market.
Great idea Sue !!!What length and width please ???I got lots of leftovers hugs carolyn
Carolyn I have made many hats similar. Measured circumference of head and added 5cm for seam allowance. There are two ways of holding the fabric together at the top. Method one is to use a small amount of fleece which is tied around the fabric, method 2 was to tie the lot up with a elastic band. Method one was preferred but spare fleece was not always available. Fleece hats are great fun to make, very quick and if there is a mistake with the sewing the stitches have usually sunk into the fabric and no one can see anything wrong. Must have helped make over 600 fleece hats in the past few years
Sue will probably explain her way tomorrow, I like her use of 2 different colours. Very innovative
I ran a gathering thread through by hand (before cutting the fringe) so that it would be even and then tied a piece of fleece around as Caroline said.
Very cute!!
I see no embroidery on it, seems a waste of a palette!!!
I made a hoodie scarf for my daughter...that was a waste of a palette also as she wasn't keen on an embroidery...sigh....
The hat is adorable, I would love to make one with my granddaughter. Would you mind sharing the measurements on the fleece? Thank you.
They need to be cut wide enough to go around the head whilst stretched a bit. My pieces were 55cm x 45cm.
