Just looking through projects and just noticed how many beautiful flowers and wonderful comments you have all given me on this project. I apologize for not answering each on. It warms my heart and has helped me decide that maybe I could have a go at selling these (maybe on esty or e-bay) at least at my in-house show next year. Thanks for your encouragements and I am overhelmed by your generous compliments,
thanks again and hugs to you all

OMG, I've been wanting to make myself a tree skirt. This one is absolutely gorgeous. I am so envious.
Thank you, you can do it but if you attempt something like this one, start now LOL with so many stitches (and I ahve decided to add on to it) it takes a while.
WELCOME to our cute community, you will have fun here, promise,

So often we fail to do projects for ourselves, but will work hours to gift someone with something special. Glad to see that you completed such an awesome 'gift' to you :-)

what a beautiful gift, sometimes we need to think of us. I'm still working on Birthday presents and may get a new great grandbaby sometime today or tomorrow! Enjoy your beautiful tree skirt! LOL
I must have missed this when you posted it. It is just beautiful!!!
this is lovely - how long did it take to make
Thank you
This piece took me around 4 days of actual stitching and probably a day of researching to find and combine all the designs (that is the hardest part of all of this).
thank you for taking the time to comment, appreciate it

WOW it should be your gift, it is beautiful. You should be very proud of your self
Beautiful. What kind of fabric did you use and who's deisgns. Inquiring minds want to know.
Thank you so much, these designs are combinations of designs from several digitizers. The sleigh is a design from Great Notions embroidery, some of the trees from emb. lib etc. I started with the mountains in the background and did several hoopings (including all the snowflakes) to give me this winter wonderland picture. Loved doing this.
I used a heavy cotton/poly blend fabric (almost upholstery type) it is heavier and with all the stitches, holds up better. A thiner fabric could not take that many stitches.
I would say use medium weight fabric, mine has a little satin finish.

That is AWESOME, BEAUTIFUL, Did you digitize all those designs yourself? I have never seen trees or a horse and sleigh like that. How did you do the snow free motion? That is a wonderful project you should be VERY proud of it.. Thank you for sharing it with us and Very Merry CHRISTmas to you.

That is beautiful, I love it. Let me ask question,What type material did you use. I've been trying to do tree skirts, but have come to the conclusion that I'm using to lightweight a material. Thank you
Thanks you

This is a masterpiece of work! Congratulations on being able to execute this scene that required so much work. Your attention to detail really makes this interesting. I love the little blue bird and all the trees. I hope you took good notes on how you did this as you are planning to make some for your children! I always forget how I solved any little problem I have along the way. Remember to use acid free tissue paper when you store this. This is sure to be a heirloom in your family and you should be proud of your work!
Glad you had a gift for yourself and it is so beautiful ...soozie

Wow, the round ceiling is beautiful. Very elegant. Because you have something very precious, and what no one can say that I made myself. The work has paid off. Merry Christmas.
Its gorgeous. Love how you have added different designs. I must try this sometime. You get amazing results. A family heirloom for sure. I hope you sign and date it for future generations.

It is simply gorgeous. A real treasure to have for years to come.Hugs Lynn
this is absolutely stunning. I feel faint thinking about the 400,000 stitches. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Phi4,
Didn't think I would end up with that many when I started, but
add this and that and that is the grand total.
Thanks for taking the time to comment, appreciate it,

Quelle merveille !!!
That's great, absolutely fantastic! Thank you for sharing.
Hugs, Lidia
michelle,
You are an accomplished, patient embroider. It shows in your work. Not every body can do 400,000 stitches on a project!. Can I be on your gift list?.Thanks for sharing your projects.
I am glad you are keeping this one of a kind piece of priceless art. Fantastic job.
Thank you Mylinda
I just got two orders for next year but I can tell you they won't be as elaborate as this one (that is the nice thing about our craft, unique and one of a kind). Thank you for taking the time to comment, really appreciate it

Michelle
Awesome how big is you biggest hoop Mitch???hugs carolyn
Thank you Carolyn
My biggest hoop is 360 x 200mm. I hooped this baby 8 times all together, the last hoopings were smaller to fill in spots so this all went together. Because the scene is a bit circular, it was a little tricky getting it to flow nicely. There are a few bumps in the road but I have learned something that I will use on the next one. Placement is everything

Michelle
Love it. Wish I could find the time and patience to do something like this.
Was the skirt premade or did you make that too.
Pam
Thank you Pam
I did make the skirt myself as well, you said it, time and lots of patience needed on this project but oh sooo worth it once complete.

Michelle
The colors are stunning. This is like something out of a magazine. The designs and all the extra make this an heirloom piece. I can't imagine how long it took you. Beautiful, beautiful work
Thank you

Thanks Mary
At one point it started to get out of hand, had to keep adding little things to have it all flow together, thanks for your comments, I always appreciate them
