It would be good if he were able to be moved closer to you. Maybe that can happen further down the track. Maybe you could find cheap accommodation near him and it'd be more cost effective than the fuel and the wear and tear on the car and yourselves.

Prayers for your son's recovery. What injuries is he trying to heal from and was these injuries from combat? You mention the Military.

I'm so sorry to hear this. He must feel so loved that you are making this trip and I know that he needs your support. You have my prayers. May I suggest you contact the local (where you attend) church and see if your pastor has a contact where you are going. I know that we have had guests here that needed shelter for the night several times. Just an idea. Hugs to you and MANY THANKS to your young man for his service.

Dear Windancer, my prayers and thoughts go out to you and your family for your son's recovery. I do hope you can find some assistance with being able to stay closer to him. You have my thoughts and prayers. Is there by any chance a place close that provide cheep or free lodging to families? You might do some asking of the social worker there and see what they say. That would save you from having to make this extremely long trip to and from every day.
