I have come to the conclusion (with the help of my son) that I will not buy any designs from any digitizers site that does not give credit to where certain art came from , be it clip art, vector art, blog art, etc , that they have used to create designs that they are selling for a profit on their site. MOST reputable sites do acknowledge & give credit to an artist for their art work, usually on the page that you download the design from, and most always included in the file that you download. We feel that any site that does not give credit to a site that art work was obtained from is a site to STAY AWAY FROM & that site many be in violation on many Copyright,& Intellectual Property regulations. Just our thoughts on this subject, I very much Thank the US Military for educating my son on these matters. What are your thoughts ?

I do agree that a site must make reference to where they got the artwork, but not necessarily on the page that you download the design from, cute embroidery the site you are on right now recognises this in it's TOS http://www.cuteembroidery.com/tos...
but not I believe on each design.
I am just saying that You may not find the credit unless you go looking, that does not make the site dodgy...

Why make the exclusive limitation on digitizers that sell? Many free designs offered are in violation of copyright laws.

Everyone should have a basic knowledge of copyright law.

You are so right.... I guess I should of added free designs to my statement also (since I am not on a quest for free designs, I usually buy what I want, I did not consider the free design issue) .... as many designs on this site offered for free or advertised here from other sites , are in violation of copyright ...
