This may be a stupid question, but, here goes: if you put in a "cut command" while digitizing, will every format recognize it as such or will it appear as a jump stitch?

Thanks in advance!

My older Brother machine doesn't have the cut function so if the thread colour isn't being changed then it would be a jump stitch. If the thread colour is changing then the machine will stop and wait for the new thread. So no, lol, not every machine will read it as a cut thread command. My newer (to me anyway) Brother machine will cut thread when the command is given. Does this answer your question? lol I hope so. :) xXx

Thanks so much for the answer! My friend kept telling me there were jump stitches and I was sure I done away with them... I thought one of us was nuts! LOL
(well more nuts than usual!) Hugs and *'s
