Thank you very much for sharing the link. I had completely forgotten about it. I really like your choice of fabrics.
When people post their projects - I am always wondering where they got their designs so, I try to do the same!! Thanks!! Hugs, Laura*
Your fabrics are pretty. Have made a few of these and never thought to make them small for coasters.
This is my first potholder with this pattern and I didn't even know about making coasters like this - but, I am going to try it! Thanks and hugs, Laura*
very nice. I never thought of making them into potholders, I've made coasters from this pattern though.
How about that!! I wonder though, did you use a batting of some sort? This one called for a heat-resistant batting. I am definitely am going to try the coasters!! Hugs, Laura*
I happened to find a couple of them ready to sew! (I made these a long time ago). I started with 4-1/2" squares and the back piece just has interfacing on it. They end up being about 4" square when sewn together. Thanks for the idea for pot holders; will make some for Christmas gifts.
Thanks for the info - I am going to make some coasters to go with the potholders!! Hugs, Laura*
I love this pattern. Our quilt guild made approximately 300 of these...size appropriate for a coffee mug...for our 25th anniversary tea. This was open to the public and we had about 120 folk attend. These were given as gifts to everyone that came. The event was a huge success and really made our group visible to the community. Blessings, Avis
Oh, wow, Avis - that was some accomplishment!! Even though these are easy to make - that was a lot of work!! How wonderful the event was such a success!! Hugs to you, Laura*
wow Laura what a good idea! this has turned out quite pretty! Hugs Lorlaye
Well done, I haven't tried this yet but plan to someday :)
Cutting out the fabric and batting is 3/4 of the work - then stitch up 4 side - trim and flip inside out - easy!! You should give it a try! Hugs, Laura*
Sorry I forgot to say I cut the fabric 5 inches Square for the coasters. they end up 4 and a half inches which is a good size . Hugs Joyce
Thanks, Joyce - it is a quick and easy project!! I am going to try coasters!! Hugs, Laura*
Love it!
Thank you, Karen - it is a fun project and makes a nice potholder!! Hugs, Laura*
Great idea-How big is the sqare for the potholders?
They said 10 inches (everything was 10 inches including the heat resistant batting) but, I don't see why you couldn't use any size - as long as evereything was the same! Hugs, Laura*
Many thanks - just in time for Small Christmas Gifts
It is a neat video - and it worked just as they showed it would! Hugs, Laura*
Very nice work. I cut the pieces smaller and made a set of Christmas coasters they worked great and look very pretty. Great gift. Hugs Joyce
very nice will go look at the video i made many of the runners but i never saw this till now thank-you hugs
A couple of potholders and a runner would make a nice gift and they could be matching! Hugs to you, Laura*
Very nice, with the Christmas fabric it looks packaged.
These also would make great hot ptds. Love the red color
Thanks, never saw one made like that, great for leftovers!
Thanks Debra! You could certainly make these in any size - as long as you were consistent cutting the sizes the same. Hugs, Laura*
