Okay All You Cuties.

I am on The Internet all the time with my Website and Emails and Digitizing, I want to put it out there that I got That Stupid (Scareware) Virus, it takes over your Computer and sends you to a Website, Where you can pay for a Fit it program.. what ever you do! Do not click on it....
Turn your computer off and take it to a Computer place, There is no getting around it the faster you try the faster it takes over your computer.

you can do a Computer Restore. but that is about all you can do.
So please back up all files and just when you think you are safe Back it up again.

I had a Viper Virus Program that is for people like me who spend a lot of time on the net and this thing got past it as it is not a virus but a scareware pop up program. It cost me $200 to get the Computer fixed and two days to re- install all of my stuff.. So please back up everything.

Scareware - is that a new category? They are all scary. I like the word malware, because it sounds malicious. I do not want a computer virus as much as I do not want the flu.

So sorry. Also a good idea to dl the free version of Malwarebytes, which will scan for and quarantine malicious software. You can put it on your desktop and also a copy on a flash drive so you can start your computer in safe mode and do a scan.
Even if your virus program does automatic updates, you can do a daily one yourself and a quick scan to try to keep on top of it all. I had that fake anti-virus thing a few years back, and that was a pain!
The latest one I've found and use is Suer anti-spyware, another with a free and portable edition, that picks up all the cookies that sites leave, so you can clean them out.
