MY BABY IS BACK !!!

Minouche is back at home, she's well !!! she can already move! She gave us a little head when we arrived at the vet, but once at home, it was better!

Now, I have to watch it eats and 8 days, back to the vet to remove points. He could only let that 1cm of the femur...

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY !!! I ♥ her !!!!

Sissi, you might have to put an Elizabethan collar on Minouche to keep her from trying to get the dressing off. Cats just hate having any kind of bandages, stitches, and always try to pull them off. I don't know what they call the E-collar in France. It is like a plastic cone, you snap it together and then tie it around kitty's neck with soft gauze or ribbon. They can eat and drink just fine, but the collar keeps them from being able to chew at bandages. I'll try to find a picture of Polly in her collar to attach. Also, the vet should be able to give you some medicine for pain for her. There is only special medicine cats can take, they can't take any people medicine like aspirin, because it will kill them. The medicine is called Metacam here in the USA. That might be a brand name, but I'm sure your vet would know. My vet gives it to me in syringes without the needles, they load the correct dose for 24 hours, and I just squirt it into kitty's mouth. I hope little Minouche will be feeling better soon, but I am sure she has some pain from the surgery, and she is probably very confused about where her leg went. Poor little thing, she will come around slowly, just keep loving her. She doesn't understand why she hurts and can't walk well, you have to understand for her and help her. I admire you so much for being so kind to give her another chance at life. My love, Marji

I am sure your Minouche is happy to be back home with you also! I do love to watch kittens and cats although I can not touch them or even sit close to where they have been. I grew up with cats and dogs but many yrs ago I developed a severe allergic to cats and after 2 trips to the Emergency room to get shots so I could open my eyes, I decided to find a home for the two I had and just stick to my dogs. They are so much fun to have around but I adore my Pekingese and she is wonderful company AND with NO allergies! Never have understood why I am allergic to cats and not dogs....

Oh, Sissi, I am so very happy for both you and Minouche!! I know how much we love our little fur kids. I am so glad you found a vet that could help you, and that you didn't give up on Minouche. See, now she will be home and you can spoil her, and she will spoil you with her grateful little purrs and kitty kisses. You have given her another chance at having a wonderful life with you and your family. I am so happy for you that I'm purring, too, hee hee hee. I thought you would like to see a picture of my little Minou, she looks very much like your kitty. We lost her to cancer several years ago, unfortunately. But she will always live in my heart. Hugs, Marji
