Has anyone done Battenburg lace? I would like to try it-alot of summer tops and dresses have it for trim this year. I have a couple dresses that have it on the back but are a bit too low for my liking in the front and thought I'd use the inset designs I have from EL.I have a bunch of 100% Organic sewing thread spools-size 40- that are the perfect color-would this work? Should I also use the same thread in the bobbin? Any feedback would be appreciated *thanks* ~linda~

Love Battenberg cotton lace. They are easy and quick to embroider. I have used (Gutermann) cotton 50 wt thread at the top and bottom, as recommended, without any problems. The cotton thread produces a LOT of lint, so you have to clean very often, but it's worth it.

I will have to find it, but maybe you already know or someone else does. There is a freebie of FSL specifically for those low cut dresses and tops, to make them a bit more private.
What I've found is, if you get a real tightly digitized design AND use cotton or thicker thread, that it ends up being real stiff (like cardboard) by the time your are done. You might want to experiment with different weights of thread and designs to find one that is just right for your application. Good luck!!

Yup, I'd use the same thread in the bobbin and I think your 100% Organic sewing thread would be just dandy!
