I am hoping Sue comes back and answers this question. Are these called Bobbin Lace needles and do you know where you can get them so that you can add your own lampworked beads.

57492As Sue commented - embroidered bobbin lace work is designed to LQQK like the hand made bobbin lace work.
You should/could use bobbin embroidery thread is as much different than regular FSL embroidery work.

Thank you. Do you order it online from the same place that you order your threads? Is it just regular bobbin thread?
211078Making bobbin lace on your embroidery machine is no different to any other FSL - it is digitised to look like traditional bobbin lace. To make it by hand is a whole different ball game!

Lovely bobbins, are they yours? I only have a dozen or so of this type with the glass beads and hundreds of plain Belgium ones (hiding and idling in a cupboard).

Thank you Chris, this was a very interesting article. After reading about the bobbin lace, I took a link about broomstick lace, (I knew how to do it as a teenager), but have long forgotten how to do it. Thanks & hugs, Tammy
