Hi Brenda, you won't be sorry if you buy Embird.
Get the trail and have fun you can even d/l the turorials before you buy I think so you can see how it all works. There are lots of good digitizers who do tutorials on Embird for a fee also. There is soo much help out there also yahoo groups on it to join and you can ask all the questions you want on the groups. You can buy extra programs for Embird at your leisure when needed. I love my Embird.

I downloaded the trial but need the manual for help and through Secretsof it is $99 just for the instructions so I have been hesitant to invest. I hate to spend that much money and be too dumb to use it! Know what I mean? Good luck. I know they have a ton of tutorials so they could almose make it into a college class....hey that's not a bad idea.

1451I tried Embird 30 day free trial and found I could not do Digitizing until I purchased Basic & Studio. I have tried free tutorials for digitizing, and had gotten nowhere, so I found a tutorial from Stitches in motion, and have been working with those lessons, and they are good to follow and I feel I am learning. I have not actually done an item yet, but you almost have to learn what the program does before you can use it. Hope this helps. Hugs, Judy

My advice.. go get the 30 day free trial and have a play
when your ready.. go to secretsof.com and purchase there.. if you buy items to the value of $30 you can then select free embroidery sets.. plus you earn points.. I earnt enough points to get iconizer for free.. and have fun

20276i have Embird for many years and like it very much, first I DL and used the 30 days trial, this is good bacause you know how is it before you buy it, then I bought the Basic, later i added Iconizer and Studio, well, I have not play with studio too much, I have procrastinating it for a long time, i even bought tutorial CD's (full of dust) LOL one of these days i will get into studio. I do used Basic a lot, to resize, and s plit designs is fantaastic, But it is your decision and your buget too. Good luck!

26714I bought my machine from a Viking dealer because they offer free help and classes. I also bought the Viking software for the same reason. Probably not the cheapest BUT I can email my teacher or even call her night or day and have the answers. There are different levels of some software and it depends on what you want and/or need. Don't just go for cheapest.

Thanks for replying I have singer future and the software that comes along like photo stitch hyper font cross stitch and auto punch and also amazing designs software like personalize and stitch edit and stitch and also digitize and stitch but they are all auto degitizings I want to learn to degitize myself I made a mistake by buying them so i dont want to make the same mistake again That is why i need advice.....Thanks Brenda
