This is a picture of my entry in the challange at our guild Quilt Show. We could only use Black, White (could be mixed) and the colour of a crayon I was given (blue green) we get the results at the end of the month. I embroidered the flowers and sewed them on to make it 3D. The cat is also seperate and stitched in one or two places.You can't see it in the photo but the borders are black and I double layered it to look like a picture.

Thank you. It did as I said earlier I did leaves and other plants which I did not like and started over with just the variation of a couple of flowers. Finished it a 3AM the morning of the show. Some of the snowflakes are in metalic thread which does not show up either. Some of the quilting was done with a rayon thread and some in cotton to look like differend type of snow.

Well done, I love the 3d effect and the twist of the cat looking at the bird. fantastic. good luck.

OK have to comment again after reading another comment on the stippling. I missed the stippled tree on the left in the background. If you want to really see this better as well as see the frame and the white eye of the bird click on the picture so it enlarges. Best of luck. I have vote the Grand prize for you.

Thank you. my boss and his friend came to show and I missed them. I brought the quilt to work today to show him and he and his friend voted for my one and he did not know it was mine. I was really chuffed.

Beautiful, You did a great job. Love the mixture of the black/white and white/black flowers. It really make them all pop out. The 3D effect is wonderful.

Wow I love the 3D-effect of the flowers and the cat. The white tree is something you just see on the 2nd view but I like the way it brings deep in the quilt.

Thank you It was tiring doing the trees. After doing one, had spent so much time looking at where I was going my eyes would not focus so had to take breaks on doing it. LOL.

Thank you I had fun doing it. Have a bag of leaves and other flowers that I did, changed my mind and just used variations of simalar flowers.
